STUDENT ALUMNI SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Emory undergraduate and graduate student organizations are invited to elevate their events with alumni engagement, supported by the esteemed Student Alumni Association.

What can alumni engagement look like for my student organization?

  • Support identifying alumni speakers, panelists, participants. Check out Emory's exclusive online networking platform, Emory Connects
  • Alumni/Speaker gifts
  • Miller Ward Alumni House event space (ideal space close to campus for meetings, presentations, receptions, and retreats)
  • Access to alumni lists and information relevant to the program/organization.
  • Momentum Campaign Request
  • Register Student Organization to participate in Emory Day of Giving (EDOG) and receive donations.

 Requirements   PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY

  • All requests must be submitted at least one month prior to the organization's scheduled program date. Requests made after this deadline will regrettably be denied.
  • An evaluation of the program must be submitted within three days following the event. Failure to submit the evaluation may lead to the denial of future sponsorship requests.
  • Per Emory policy, we are not able to sponsor events, fundraisers, auctions, galas, and activities for other nonprofits and non-Emory charitable organizations through this sponsorship program. Sponsored funds may NOT be used for political campaigning, personal travel, fundraising, and individual projects and aid (e.g. conferences, presentations, unfunded research, financial aid, non-Emory affiliated programs attended by students, etc.)
  • Non-Emory affiliated charitable programs or events requiring registration fees or individual fundraising efforts are permitted only if no University resources are used in order to solicit or promote the solicitation of funds.
  • The program must keep with University policies and procedures.
  • A speedtype is required to receive funding.

The Process

  • The student group requesting sponsorship must ensure they carefully read and complete the sponsorship form accurately before submission.
  • Sponsorship requests will undergo review within a two-week period, contingent upon the student group promptly addressing any additional details required by the committee. If the final reminder and follow-up deadline are not met, further sponsorship consideration may not be possible.
  • Once a decision has been reached, the student group representative will be notified, and any approved assistance will be provided.
  • To ensure future eligibility, a program evaluation must be submitted.
  • The sponsorship process, guidelines, and criteria may be subject to change and flexibility at the discretion of the sponsorship committee.
  • If you are requesting a space at the Miller Ward House venue, please request here: Book your event at Miller Ward

Deliverables

Please include an attendance sheet with the program evaluation. The sheet should list the full names, class years, and roles (attendee/speaker) of all alumni participants. If alumni are indicated, this can be the larger attendance sheet.

During the event, please ensure at least one social media post is shared using #AlwaysEmory and tagging both @emoryalumni and @emorysab.
