PH+ Series: Public Health + Preparedness

Friday, October 27, 2023 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM

Our Public Health + series was created as a way to explore the inter-connectivity of all sectors within the field of public health. Throughout the last 3 years, we've explored how public health intersects with food systems, advocacy, open source data, social entrepreneurship, clinical medicine and more. This season we will be exploring different ways to approach preparedness across a variety of sectors and issues.

Public Health + Preparedness
Regardless of sector or topic, there are many threats and complications that have been foreseen by experts. Adequately preparing for these threats, however, remains challenging. From changing needs in the classroom to rapid vaccine manufacturing capabilities against novel outbreaks or ethical considerations with the advancement of AI and genetic engineering, the issue of preparing for the uncertain future while managing the present affects us all. Gaining a greater understanding of how front liners across different fields think about and approach this problem is the goal of Public Health+ Preparedness.

Join us for a small, hands-on 90-minute workshop on exploring different ways to approach preparedness when it comes to different sectors and issues. We’ll work through different examples and use new tools to think about preparedness.

Registration will be limited to 30 participants.

Workshop facilitated by our partners at Orange Sparkle Ball, an innovation and impact accelerator focused on moving public and private organizations’ initiatives forward.
